In charge of scoring goals
The arrival of Jesus to Arsenal was also discussed by Premier League analyst Alan Hutton. According to him, it is clear that Arteta recruited Jesus to carry out goal-scoring duties.
Hutton knew Jesus had proven good enough for the role. Next season, Arsenal have a capable goalscorer.
"Scoring goals [Jesus' role]. You talk about players who immediately step on the gas and he immediately did that in pre-season. He has scored goals," Hutton said on Football Insider.
"We know very well what kind of player he is. He likes to score goals, he has clever moves, he can connect the game. He is also a very versatile player."
The number 9
Hutton believes Jesus will fill the position of Arsenal's main striker next season. However, of course there are several other positions he could fill, depending on Arteta's tactics.
"I think they will play him as a number 9 striker, but of course there is still a chance to change his position, depending on their opponent," continued Hutton.
"So, I think he will be a very good purchase. Arsenal have done well to bring him from Man City and I think he will play well," he said.
